Team news: How Sevilla fare heading into Europa League second leg vs Manchester United

Manchester United make the trip to Seville this week to tackle the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

They’ve been left with all the work to do too, as the reverse fixture ended 2-2 at Old Trafford. United were leading 2-0 in the opening 21 minutes but two late own goals saw the tie draw level, and everything is now left to play for at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

The Red Devils will be without Bruno Fernandes through suspension, as well as Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane through injuries. It is unconfirmed whether the likes of Marcus Rashford, Marcel Sabitzer, Luke Shaw or Tyrell Malacia will be fit to feature, but there are promising signs at Carrington, as the quartet returned to training this morning.

Sevilla, on the other hand, must navigate the absence of Gonzalo Montiel – he is ruled out after picking up a booking last week. He, along with Marcos Acuna, helped Lisandro Martinez to the sidelines after he sustained his fifth metatarsal fracture.

Papa Gueye and Tecatito Corona are ineligible having not been registered in the European competition.

Alex Telles can play against his parent club, though he spent the first leg as an unused substitute.
