Marcel Sabitzer actively pushing for Manchester United transfer very Bayern return unlikely

It really sounds like Marcel Sabitzer’s camp are doing everything to complete a summer transfer to Manchester United from Bayern Munich.

The Austrian is currently on loan at Manchester United and each week we see briefs in the media about him wanting to make the move permanent.

Either way, it looks like they are actively pushing to make a deal happen in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Sabitzer could complete a permanent move to United in the summer after his temporary switch to the club.

Ten Hag has been pleased with the 29-year-old’s performances since and the midfielder is clearly satisfied with life at Old Trafford.

Furthermore, a well-placed source told Football Insider that a permanent move now has a good chance of happening.

We shall see.

Another update today from Florian Plettenberg outlined that — from a Bayern Munich perspective at least — a return is “very unlikely” for Sabitzer.

Sabitzer joined United on loan on deadline day in January from Bayern Munich and has been an astute addition to the squad, often filling when Casemiro was absence, but he has had a few injury set-backs which we shouldn’t overlook.

The Austria international has managed 13 appearances for United in all competitions, too, managing three goals and one assist.

I wouldn’t be against signing Sabitzer if we could get him in the door for under £20m – but, I guess that won’t matter if we get the takeover we need before the end of the season. A lot depends on that as I keep saying on the blog.
