Marc Skinner slams Wembley ticket allocation for United and Chelsea fans

Manchester United Women’s manager Marc Skinner was critical of the allocation both Manchester United and Chelsea fans have been given at Wembley for the FA Cup final next month.

It has been revealed that, despite 65,000 tickets being issued for the clash in May, only 8,000 tickets each have been handed to fans of the clubs playing in the final.

The decision to give such small allocations is a disgrace as United have reached their very first FA Cup final after a win on Sunday over Brighton. A potential history-making moment for the club.

Skinner has shared the fans’ frustration at the club’s Wembley allocation.

“To give clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea just 8,000 tickets to sell it’s just…crazy, in my opinion” said the United head coach, as quoted by The Independent.

“I don’t know how many they give to fans of the men’s team. I don’t know how it works in all honesty, I haven’t really looked into it but to give two massive clubs 8,000 tickets is, as I say, crazy – that is as simple as I can put it.

“In all honesty, I absolutely share the sentiment (frustration at the lack of tickets). I can’t believe it.”

Since this will be the women’s team first trip to Wembley, you’d think it would be done properly – sharing out a large allocation for both sets of fans.

No, they just couldn’t get it right.
