Alejandro Garnacho could return from injury in early May

Manchester United will be eager to get Alejandro Garnacho back to full fitness.

The youngster, who was enjoying an incredible breakthrough season for Manchester United, has not played since suffering a serious injury against Southampton in early March.

Garnacho had just been called up to the Argentina senior squad for the first time, but the injury also cost him a potential debut for the world champions.

The 18-year-old shared a picture of social media yesterday which showed that he is back training in football boots.

However, a new report from Argentine outlet El Destape describes the picture as ‘the best news’, excited that Garnacho has a chance to take part in the U-20 World Cup in late May and early June.

The report adds rear the injury was to the ligament that connects the right ankle to the tibia and fibula.

They also add that it is estimated that at the beginning of May he will be able to return to action.

We’re sure United have all the data needed to ensure Garnacho won’t be rushed back. But he’s missing some important games between now and the end of the month.
