Anthony Martial secured a crucial three points for Manchester United yesterday when they overturned Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Scott McTominay’s first-half opener gave United a deserved lead, though they really could’ve been leading by four or five goals at that stage if the attackers were more clinical.
Martial replaced Antony in the second half to take his usual position as centre-forward. The Frenchman has recently spent a prolonged period on the sidelines, with his last league start coming in January, so it’s nice to see him back in action at such a pivotal stage of the season.
He added to his goal tally almost instantly though thanks to some clever play from Rashford, who was unselfish and assisted the striker for his seventh of the season.
