(Video) Erik ten Hag provides Marcus Rashford injury update after Everton win

Manchester United are back on track in the Premier League after recording back-to-back victories over Brentford and Everton, with Erik ten Hag’s unbeaten record at Old Trafford now extended to an impressive 24 games.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring in the first half against Everton on Saturday, with Anthony Martial confirming the scoreline in the second half.

Marcus Rashford assisted the second goal but fans have been left worried after the winger seemed to go off with an apparent groin injury.

The 25-year-old limped off the pitch in scenes that will have worried the manager as well. Speaking after the game, Ten Hag provided an injury update.

“We have to wait. (It) doesn’t look well,” Ten Hag told BT Sport after the game, as seen above.

“Once again, that is due to the schedule. It can’t be that you play three games in six days.

“We have to protect out players and everyone wants the best players on the pitch. Everyone wants to see great, entertaining football like today but then you need your best players.”

Ten Hag is understandably annoyed at the schedule arranged for United, as previous managers have been in the past. Unfortunately, that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

United have played more games than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues this season and that seems to have taken its toll on the players.
