Early Manchester United team news ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton on Saturday, April 8 (Kick-off 12.30pm BST).

Whilst we may have a clearer idea of the squad’s availability following Erik ten Hag’s pre-match press conference on Friday, there are several key updates to report.

One huge boost for United is that Christian Eriksen was spotted training at Carrington today after being sidelined since January 28. The Dane is ahead of schedule in his recovery and Ten Hag hasn’t ruled out his involvement in Saturday’s game, insisting that the midfielder would need to be assessed before kick-off.

Unfortunately, Luke Shaw left the pitch early during his 250th appearance last night after he was spotted clutching his hamstring. Ten Hag couldn’t give too much away after the match, as he confirmed that tests would need to be carried out on the defender.

At last, it is the fourth and final game of Casemiro’s suspension. He will be unavailable for selection this weekend but will return to the matchday squad to face Nottingham Forest next week.

Donny van de Beek and Alejandro Garnacho are ruled out.

Everton team news

Sean Dyche addressed the media this afternoon to provide an update on his players. Ruben Vinagre and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are back in training, though the latter is still in rehabilitation for his issue, whilst Andros Townsend is still recovering from an ACL injury.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is suspended due to the red card he received during Everton’s home clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
