Marcel Sabitzer has reflected on a dismal defeat at St. James’ Park on Sunday but has set his sights on bouncing back with a win against Brentford this evening.
It won’t come easy though, as the Bees have been in scintillating form lately and have tasted defeat just once in their last 15 games.
Meanwhile, United are winless and goalless in their past three league games, two of which were defeats, and now find themselves fifth-placed in the table.
Sabitzer’s pre-match comments
Sabitzer, who has been named in the starting line-up tonight, spoke to the media ahead of kick-off, saying: “We analysed the game on Sunday – we did not [play] well. When you go to Newcastle, you have to be on the highest level, especially matching [their] runs and intensity, winning duels. We were not on that level so [it was a] deserved win for them, but we have to bounce back tonight.”
