Manchester United have been added to the race to sign Brazilian starlet Vitor Roque.
The 18-year-old is believed to be attracting attention from a number of top clubs throughout Europe, with Manchester United among those named in the race for the youngster’s signature.
According to Globe Esporte, Roque’s entourage has been to Europe for talks, and United were one of the clubs who met them to discuss the Athletico Paranense starlet’s future.
It’s suggested that Roque’s representatives have been to England and Spain to speak to clubs about signing the teenager.
The other English clubs include Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham United as well.
United were initially linked with Roque two months ago, in a report from Gazzetta dello Sport that claims Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring him too.
Roque’s agent spotted meeting with Barcelona
Barcelona are one of the Spanish clubs monitoring Roque, with his agent and father spotted meeting with the club on Monday.
Journalist Gerard Romero, who covers Barcelona, spotted the pair at the Ciutat Esportiva.
