Bruno Fernandes wins Manchester United POTM award for March

Many thought Marcus Rashford would win this month’s award, but it went to another deserving member of the squad, with Bruno Fernandes crowned Manchester United’s Player of the Month for March 2023.

The 28-year-old was prolific in March, scoring three goals and registering one assist from midfield, as the Reds progressed in both the FA Cup and Europa League.

United continue to fight on all fronts this season but Fernandes deserves a lot of credit for his performances over the past month. He has also been deployed to more than one position in the team, with some of his appearances coming on the right side of midfield rather than behind the striker.

The voting was close, too. Fernandes beat Rashford, polling 40% via ManUtd.com, one more per cent than our leading scorer. Lisandro Martinez came third with 21%.

This is Fernandes’ seventh time winning the Manchester United Player of the Month award.
