Harry Kane urged to join Manchester United if he wants trophies

Harry Kane faces an uncertain future this summer unless the striker signs a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Premier League winger Jermaine Pennant believes Kane would be ‘perfect’ for Manchester United in our search for a new centre-forward.

“Harry Kane would be an absolutely fantastic signing (for United),” Pennant told talkSPORT. “He would be perfect!

“If he stays, would you say he’s got no ambition? Spurs are not going to be winning any trophies in the next two of three years. And he turns 30 in July. The clock is running down. A player of that calibre should be looking to win massive trophies.

“It’s only United (he can go to).”

It is clear that Erik ten Hag will target a centre-forward in the summer, but a lot will depend on the takeover of the club. Sheikh Jassim will aim to hit the transfer window hard with investment, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s approach to the transfer window is unknown right now.

Kane recently became England’s all-time record scorer and he already has that record sewn up at Tottenham. Surely now he wants to try his hand at winning trophies?

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Let us know who you would prefer in the comments section.
