England XI vs Ukraine: Harry Maguire starts in Euro 2024 qualifier

England will take on Ukraine on Sunday night as they look to make it two wins from two since the World Cup. Gareth Southgate has named his starting eleven for the Euro 2024 qualifier.

As anticipated, Harry Maguire will start for England against Ukraine. The defender’s place in the squad has been question because he doesn’t play regularly for Manchester United anymore. It all seems very harsh and our club captain was right to defend himself in the media.

Ben Chilwell is in at left-back in another England change made by Southgate. The manager was forced to bring in the Chelsea full-back, with Luke Shaw suspended after his red card against Italy, a game that ended 2-1 in England’s favour.

England XI vs Ukraine: Jordan Pickford; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell; Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Jordan Henderson; Bukayo Saka, James Maddison, Harry Kane.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is absent through injury if you hadn’t heard Southgate talk about it already…
