(Video) Scott McTominay scores quick-fire brace for Scotland vs Cyprus

Scotland are off to a dream start in their bid to make it to next year’s European Championship in Germany, comfortably dispatching Cyprus with a 3-0 win.

Scott McTominay was named on the bench for the visit of Cyprus, having missed a sizeable portion of United’s recent games through injury.

He was, however, introduced in the second half and ensured his country got off to a winning start in their qualifying campaign, scoring the second and third goals, as seen below.

McTominay was introduced halfway through the second half and just six minutes separated his first goal from the second strike.

The victory puts Scotland top of their qualifying group but they will face a far more challenging prospect next week when they face Spain, who will be looking to cement their place at the summit.
