Manchester United are back on level terms against Fulham after a highly dramatic affair at Old Trafford, with another trip to Wembley at stake.
Erik ten Hag’s men were unconvincing in the first half and when the visitors took the lead early in the second half, there was a feeling that Fulham had deserved it.
With roughly 20 minutes to go, the landscape completely changed, however. Jadon Sancho danced around Bernd Leno before his shot was stopped on the goalline by Willian’s arm.
A penalty was awarded after a VAR check, with Willian handed his marching orders. Aleksandr Mitrovic was also sent off for dissent.
Bruno Fernandes stepped up to get United back into the game and the Portugal international made no mistake from the spot, sending Leno the wrong way, as seen below.

Just seconds after play was resumed, United would take the lead through Marcel Sabitzer – the Austrian’s first goal for the club.
United now have one foot in the semi-final of the FA Cup, where they will face Brighton & Hove Albion if they can see the game out.
