Manchester United are still having talks with Marcus Rashford over a new contract.
According to Dean Jones, speaking to GiveMeSport, talks are progressing well and the club are said to be confident about extending his deal.
Rashford has bounced back this season with 27 goals and nine assists across all competitions. The only problem for United is that he is out of contract next year.
“I do think they’re headed in the right direction on this,” Jones said.
“I haven’t heard any negativity around it, which is a good thing from a Man United point of view. I mean, the simple fact is, you have to reward a player when he gets to this level.”
Rashford – and other players – may wait to sign a new contract at United until the takeover is complete, especially if their agents and representatives think they can get an even bigger package.
