Manchester United discover potential FA Cup semi-final opponents

Manchester United are about to face Fulham in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, with another trip to Wembley at stake following the Carabao Cup triumph last month.

United have played every single game available to them this season and Erik ten Hag will be hoping that run is maintained by the time tonight’s tie with Fulham is over.

The draw took place just minutes before kick-off and should United overcome the stern test of Fulham, they will be facing in-form Brighton & Hove Albion at Wembley.

In the other semi-final, Sheffield United will be facing Manchester City to potentially set up a mouthwatering Manchester derby Wembley finale.

That’s only possible if Fulham are dispatched, however, and the newly-promoted London club have enjoyed a stunning return to the top flight.

The Cottagers are currently ninth in the Premier League and are very much still in the fight for European football next season, with an FA Cup triumph also being a route into Europe.
