(Video) Sheikh Jassim’s delegation spotted at Old Trafford for takeover talks

Talks between Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani’s representatives and The Raine Group took place at Old Trafford this afternoon and were described as being “constructive”.

Although Sheikh Jassim’s entourage were present for meetings today, the man himself was not personally in attendance.

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs claims the delegation was led by Shazhad Shahbaz, the president of Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation, which is fronting his bid to takeover Manchester United. Others present include Fady Bakhos and Yasir Shah.

Jacobs adds that Shahbaz is a highly-respected investment and capital markets banker who has spent more than two decades working at Bank of America.

Bakhos acted as Sheikh Jassim’s legal, corporate and investment advisor, while Shah is Managing Director at Bank of America.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol adds that negotiations have been “constructive” between the parties.
