Early Manchester United and Real Betis team news ahead of Europa League last-16 clash

Early team news for Manchester United’s trip to Seville to face Real Betis.

A place in the Europa League quarter-finals is up for grabs on Thursday and should they progress, the Red Devils will undoubtedly be one of the major favourites to win the competition.

Erik ten Hag’s side head into the second leg with a three-goal advantage over their opponents having overseen a 4-1 win in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

United team news

It was confirmed today that Alejandro Garnacho has suffered ankle ligament damage and will be sidelined for several forthcoming games, including ones for both United and the Argentinian national team.

Anthony Martial and Marcel Sabitzer are doubts for Thursday, though the Frenchman could be in line to face Fulham on Sunday after returning to first-team training.

Casemiro is available for selection despite picking up a second red card on Sunday, as his four-game ban only applies to domestic competitions.

However, the Brazilian and Bruno Fernandes are one booking away from also serving a Europa League suspension.

Betis team news

Centre-back Luiz Felipe is a doubt, whilst Paul Akoujou and Martin Montoya are ineligible.

Nabil Fekir is a long-term absentee and Juan Cruz is injured.
