Erik ten Hag ‘singled out’ three players who could be sold after Liverpool loss

Manchester United’s humiliating defeat at Anfield last weekend has sparked an inquest into Erik ten Hag’s side, with many already claiming that the wheels are starting to come off after a fantastic start to the calendar year.

United’s loss against Liverpool was just their second since the turn of the year and it came just a week after the club’s six-year trophy drought had been ended.

They were handed a humbling of the ages by their bitter rivals and now, there are reports that Ten Hag is especially disappointed in three players after the loss.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, former Ajax partner in crime Antony is among the players to have frustrated the Dutchman, with fellow Brazil international Fred also doing very little to impress.

Finally, it’s claimed that Diogo Dalot’s performance did not impress Ten Hag either. That is particularly interesting as Ten Hag is still in the process of deciding on his first-choice right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has become a reliable option on the right-hand side in recent months and it’s perfectly plausible that he ends the season as Ten Hag’s go-to man.
