(Video) Casemiro leads the way as United players hug fan after lifting Carabao Cup trophy

Casemiro was the first Manchester United player to hug a fan after the Carabao Cup final trophy presentation at Wembley. The Brazilian’s team-mates followed his lead in a heartwarming moment.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has been a revelation since joining United in the summer.

Casemiro shows his leadership skills on a weekly basis and I would go as far to say he’s the best player in the team right now. He’s easily our most influential player, along with Marcus Rashford at the moment.

After scoring the opening goal with a glancing header at Wembley, Casemiro once again proved he is the main man in the middle as United cruised to a relatively straightforward 2-0 win over Newcastle.

The footage below shows a supporter waiting for each of the players to come down the steps with the trophy at Wembley. A number of players acknowledged the fan by reaching out and touching his hand, whereas Casemiro came down the steps to give him a hug. This prompted a similar response from the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford.

How wholesome is that?
