Steve McClaren was quick to credit Erik ten Hag following the full-time whistle after Manchester United saw out a late comeback against West Ham.
The mentality Ten Hag has instilled in these players is clear as day – they can’t accept losing. There have been several games now in which United have come from behind to see out a win and, in past seasons, those are undoubtedly matches that they would’ve lost.
Last night, the Reds defeat West Ham 3-1 with the winning goal coming in the 90th minute by Alejandro Garnacho. Fred also got involved in the action and netted one of his own in the fifth minute of injury time.
When the referee blew for full time, McClaren was spotted saying something along the lines of “you did it” and “it was your winning mentality” to the manager.
