Manchester United complete signing of sought-after teenager starlet

Manchester United have completed the signing of Gabriele Biancheri from Cardiff City. 

He will join the academy on a four-year deal and was the subject of interest for  several top clubs, according to The Athletic.

United opened talks with the Championship side in January before reaching an agreement for the 16-year-old.

Biancheri is eligible to represent England, Italy and Wales internationally and has opted for the latter so far, with whom he plays for at Under-17 level.

Carrington is regarded as one of the best academies in England and across Europe, with the likes of Paul Scholes, David Beckham, and more recently Marcus Rashford graduating from the setup.

Erik ten Hag is also keen on promoting youth talents into the senior squad; Alejandro Garnacho is enjoying an outstanding breakthrough season and 17-year-old Kobbie Mainoo recently made his Premier League debut.

Biancheri reacts to United move

After his transfer was finalised, Biancheri reacted to leaving his boyhood club and joining the Red Devils.
