Manchester United’s current manager and greatest ever manager met following the team’s Carabao Cup final victory.
Erik ten Hag has secured his first trophy just six months into his tenure at United, consequently putting an end to the club’s six-year trophy drought.
Sir Alex Ferguson won everything possible with the Red Devils and put them on the pedestal they’re still atop today. 13 Premier League titles, three Champions Leagues, five FA Cups, four League Cups and so much more – the impossible dream made possible.
Sir Alex and Ten Hag’s relationship
The pair have met on numerous occasions, much to supporters’ delight, as they see Ten Hag as the man to restore the glory days back to Old Trafford. Prior to the final, they were spotted out for dinner in Manchester, showing their bond outside of games.
After the full-time whistle last night, Sir Alex and Ten Hag met in the tunnel of Wembley Stadium with reports suggesting the Scotsman was invited into United’s changing room to congratulate the squad.
