Sir Alex Ferguson is a regular at Manchester United’s matches and today, he saw his loved Reds lift a trophy for the first time since 2017.
Erik ten Hag is the manager to do it, with his stunning first season at the club culminating in United becoming Carabao Cup champions.
United comfortably dispatched Newcastle United at Wembley, with a glanced first-half header from Casemiro followed by an own-goal forced by red-hot Marcus Rashford.

After the game, as the players celebrated the mid-season triumph, Sir Alex was spotted congratulating Ten Hag on winning the tournament, as seen above.
The scenes were heartwarming to see from a supporters’ perspective and interestingly, the exchange comes just days after the pair were seen having a private meal in Manchester.
