(Video) Heartwarming full-time scenes as Manchester United win Carabao Cup final

Manchester United have put an end to their six-year wait for a trophy as Erik ten Hag’s brave side comfortably dispatched high-flying Newcastle United at Wembley.

Just three days after sending Barcelona crashing out of the Europa League, Ten Hag has further reinforced the belief among supporters by picking up a trophy in his debut campaign.

Casemiro, arguably the best signing across all top five European leagues this season, gave his side the lead in the first half before Marcus Rashford forced an own-goal just moments later.

Newcastle gave it a go after the interval but United were calm and resilient, refusing to let Eddie Howe’s men find a way back into the game.

As the final moments approached, it was becoming apparent that Newcastle were not going to score and celebrations ensued, as seen above.

The heartwarming scenes on show after the full-time whistle is more evidence to the unity Ten Hag has helped build and now, focus will soon turn to picking up more cups this season.
