(Video) Bruno Fernandes vows to win more trophies after first triumph with Man United

Bruno Fernandes is the heartbeat of Manchester United under Erik ten Hag and the Portuguese maestro has now finally won his first bit of silverware since joining the club in 2020.

Fernandes is the vice-captain and the first name on Ten Hag’s teamsheet, with previous managers also immediately identifying him as a pillar to build around.

The 28-year-old was central to United’s plans as they comfortably dispatched Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley and after winning the trophy, he has vowed to build on this triumph, admitting they want and need ‘more’.

“Obviously, it’s been an amazing period,” he told Sky Football, as seen above. “First trophy of the season but we want more. This is not enough for this club. We want more and we need more because our standards demand more.

“As I said, for me it’s about winning trophies. Finally, I get my trophy but I want more, I want more, I want much more.”

Fernandes has the chance to help his side one step closer to another final in just three days when West Ham make the trip to Old Trafford in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

That game is followed by a mouthwatering clash with Liverpool in the Premier League before Real Betis are welcomed to Old Trafford in the Europa League.
