Anthony Martial has returned to individual training ahead of Manchester United’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday.
The Frenchman will not be fit to face Barcelona this Thursday, as confirmed by Erik ten Hag, but is showing positive signs in his recovery from injury.
Martial has missed roughly 24 games in all competitions through injuries this season, which is far from ideal for your first-choice No.9. Fitness issues have been a prevailing issue throughout his United career and has led to speculation that this season could be his final one as a Red.
If that is the case, hopefully it’s a happy ending for him and he’s able to lift silverware with the squad before the summer.
