Former Manchester United winger Nani meets Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill at Camp Nou

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill met Nani at the Camp Nou for tonight’s Europa League action.

Neither were willing to miss the biggest show in Europe tonight and United fans will be happy to see they were able to catch up and pose for photos via @luisnani.

Nani also posed with Barcelona icons Ronaldinho and Patrick Kluivert.

Ferguson brought Nani to Old Trafford similarly to how he signed Cristiano Ronaldo – by aiding Sporting Lisbon of their young talent. The winger’s potential immediately came to the forefront but he would spend a lot of his time at the club in Ronaldo’s shadow. This is something I always found unfair and Nani did give us some very good years when CR7 first left in 2009.

In Barcelona, Fergie and Nani watched United come away with a 2-2 draw. Marcus Rashford scored the equalising goal before forcing an own goal to put us 2-1 ahead. Former Leeds winger Raphina went on to level things up before the end.

Still, no matter what spin you want to put on it, it was a night to remember and I think both sets of fans should be able to agree with that.

  1. Manchester united have to strengthen there forward and how will that be,? It would be , Sancho to play right wing,Garnacho on the left wing and Marcus Rashford to the center forward. Midfielders Bruno- 10, Fred-8, Casemiro-6. Defenders, Right back-Wan Bissaka, left back Luke Shaw, and finally the combination of Verane and Lissandro Martinez
