David de Gea reacts to Casemiro red card

David de Gea took to Twitter immediately after Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Manchester United were in total control of the match until a tussle broke out and Casemiro was sent off for wrapping his hands around Crystal Palace midfielder Will Hughes, although other players involved — Jordan Ayew — got away without any punishment.

VAR intervened and referee Andrew Marriner had a look at the pitch-side monitor before a decision was made.

As a result, Casemiro is set to miss three games for Manchester United, including the double-header against Leeds United next week. The Brazil international will be able to play in the Europe League against Barcelona and he will return from his suspension for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle.

De Gea wasted no time having a dig at the officials via Twitter by sharing a GIF of former United manager, Jose Mourinho, saying one of his most famous lines.

The Spaniard isn’t usually the most outspoken but he feel he is spot on here. It doesn’t make sense that Casemiro was sent off, while Ayew got away with a similar offence.
