Inter Milan consider Manchester United defender to replace Milan Skriniar

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has emerged as a transfer target for Inter Milan.

This comes with the strong likelihood that star defender Milan Skriniar looks set to leave Inter Milan in the summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

It is believed the Serbian could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.

In turn, Inter Milan will be trying to sign a replacement for Skriniar and one player they are being linked with is Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims Inter Milan are exploring options to replace Skriniar in case an agreement is reached with PSG. He names Lindelof as one of their targets along with Lille’s Tiago Djalo.

Lindelof has fallen down the pecking order at United, but it is understood that the club want to keep the Sweden international. Ultimately it’s up to Inter Milan to make us an offer we can’t reject, though.

As far as stand-ins go, there are not many better than Lindelof. He proved this as he returned to the side for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, allowing Raphael Varane to be rested. It was the same again on Saturday night in the FA Cup when United beat Reading 3-1.

Let us know in the comments section if you think United should be trying to sell Lindelof or keep the Sweden captain.
