Manchester United could try hijack Chelsea’s pursuit to sign Malo Gusto

Reports suggest Manchester United are trying to hijack Chelsea’s move for Lyon defender Malo Gusto.

It was recently claimed that Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea had a bid rejected for the young defender, which means our interest could force the Stamford Bridge club to make another offer to Lyon.

Lyon would like to keep Gusto until the end of the season, though, but that could change if Chelsea throw stupid sums of money at them for the defender’s signature.

According to RMC Sport, Manchester United have urged Gusto’s representatives to wait before accepting an offer from Chelsea as they consider making an offer.

It goes without saying that United are a far more appealing outfit than Chelsea right now.

The prospect of working under Ten Hag would excite most young players out there.
