Arsenal confirmed the signing of Leandro Trossard today and Mikel Arteta expects the forward to hit the ground running.
The former Brighton star is a versatile forward and he gives Arteta’s side not only experience in the Premier League but a boost in their bid to win the title.
Despite the fact they top the table, it still seems like a big task for this Arsenal side to go all the way this season. Arteta is hoping that extra options in attack will help his side push over the line.
The deal is reported to be worth £21 million plus add-ons. Plus, he is expected to play a role when Manchester United visit the Emirates on Sunday.
Arteta told reporters at his press conference on Friday that he expects Trossard to have an immediate impact and that all the paperwork has been sorted in time for him to play this weekend.
🗣 “He is a player that fits our way of playing.”

It certainly gives Erik ten Hag something else to think about ahead of the game.
Both teams have defended well this season, although Arsenal have yet to concede a goal in 2023.
