Manchester United have taken the lead in their crucial Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening, with Bruno Fernandes giving his side the advantage.
Erik ten Hag named a strong team for the visit to Selhurst Park, with new signing Wout Weghorst handed his debut for the club despite only joining last week.
United held the home side for the majority of the first half but struggled to create clear-cut chances – it wasn’t until the end of the first half that Ten Hag’s men would find the breakthrough.
Marcus Rashford, the man of the moment, played the ball into Christian Eriksen who in turn Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese captain kept his composure and slotted the ball past Vicente Guaita, as seen below.

The goal is Fernandes’ fourth of the Premier League season and Eriksen’s assist was the Dane’s seventh – a tally only bettered by Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne (10).
The goal gives United breathing room and with their defensive record considered, they will now be confident of seeing this game out and securing a 10th consecutive win in all competitions.
