Jadon Sancho returns to first team Manchester United training

Jadon Sancho has returned to first-team training with Manchester United.

The 22-year-old took time away from the first team setup to work on himself over the international break and the past month.

According to The Athletic, he returned to training with his teammates today (January 17), however, his first appearance back on the pitch is not yet confirmed.

Still, it’s incredibly promising that Sancho is back at Carrington. His quality has been evident in recent years and especially throughout his time at Borussia Dortmund, and the youngster still has so much to prove in the red shirt.

He has the full backing of the United faithful whilst he finds his confidence again.

Sancho’s start to the season should not be overlooked

Sancho’s opening goal against Liverpool on August 22 was instrumental to the outstanding run of form that followed for the club, and that match is seen as pivotal in United’s season. The Englishman also scored the only goal of the game against Leicester City.

The Reds are currently on a nine-game winning streak, sit joint-third in the league and remain in all competitions. Given that the squad is currently gelling exceptionally well, now is likely the best time for Erik ten Hag to reintroduce him on the team sheet.
