Erik ten Hag has named his Manchester United starting eleven to face Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup quarter-final and there’s a debut for young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who impressed during last year’s FA Youth Cup triumph.
Manchester United are without three first-team players for the game. Bruno Fernandes is suspended for the match, Jadon Sancho is expected to return soon and Donny van de Beek is injured.
The Reds beat Everton 3-1 in the FA Cup on Friday and that meant we’ve gone seven games unbeaten. That run should be extended tonight against League One side Charlton.
United are heavy favourites to reach the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Tom Heaton will start between the posts, behind a back four consisting of Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.
The midfield consists of academy star Kobbie Mainoo, who is joined by experienced duo Fred and Scott McTominay.
United will attack with Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga.

This means there are two players in tonight’s starting line-up that won the FA Youth Cup with United last season.
However, if tonight’s game can’t be decided after 90 minutes, it will be decided on penalties.
The semi-finals will be played over two legs.
