Lisandro Martinez has heaped praise on fellow Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford, lauding his ability and professionalism.
Rashford is currently enjoying his best season to date so far, having just netted his 13th goal in last night’s FA Cup tie against Everton. As well as the goals, he is also ensuring he sets up his teammates too and has produced six assists across the campaign. In only January, he has outdone his numbers from the whole of the 2021/2022 season.
Aside from the goal contributions, his confidence on the pitch is growing with every game. Rashford is a player whose confidence directly impacts his output and performance and when he’s feeling good about himself, he’s one of the most feared players in Europe for opponents.
His pace and finishing are enough to make him world-class, but he is exceptionally skilful despite his size and stature. The 25-year-old can weave through the opposition and have players bounce off of him due to how strong and imposing he is, which also makes him a great aerial threat.
Licha’s admiration for Rashford
Martinez, who recently returned to Old Trafford as a world champion, has heaped praise on his fellow Red. He told Sky Sports: “For me, Rashy is an incredible player. He can be anything he wants to be, it all depends on him.
“I see him around the place and he’s such a professional. I know how much he gives every day in the training sessions, and I like to think that I’m always there to help him and speak with him if he needs any advice.
“I totally agree with Casemiro [labelling Rashford as ‘spectacular’]. He’s a key player for us and he’s the sort of player who can turn a game in an instant. But it’s not just about his individual aspects, it’s his work rate as well. He’s got that team ethic and spirit about him.
“He realises the importance of the team and his work rate for the team is very, very important as well. He’s got a great attitude and I think he’s going to be one of the best players in the world.”
