(Video) Antony opens the scoring vs Everton after brilliant Rashford assist

Manchester United winger Antony has given his side the lead against Everton in the FA Cup, with red-hot Marcus Rashford supplying the assist.

Erik ten Hag named a surprisingly strong side for the visit of Everton and they wasted no time in grabbing a stranglehold of proceedings at Old Trafford.

United had already fashioned one half-chance but when Marcus Rashford broke against Ben Godfrey, it looked like there would only be one outcome.

Instead of cutting in on his right foot, Rashford went on the outside before his left-footed cross found Antony, who tapped in to score his fourth goal for the Reds, as seen below.

Antony’s goal comes roughly three months since his last strike, also against Everton but in the Premier League. The Brazil international will now be hoping that this goal can help kickstart his season once more.

Victory over the Toffees would secure United’s passage to the fourth round of the competition and ensure Ten Hag remains in all four tournaments.
