Rashford steals the show again: player ratings from Man United 3-1 Everton

Manchester United are putting a remarkable run together under Erik ten Hag and their stellar form continued on Friday night as they extinguished Everton’s hopes of a run in the FA Cup.

The visitors are enduring a terribly difficult period in their season and their misery was mounted at Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford leading the way as the Reds booked their place in the fourth round.

Rashford is arguably in the form of his life at the moment and he was at the heart of most of United’s attacking sequences. The 25-year-old assisted the opener, forced the second goal and scored the penalty in the dying embers.

Man United Player Ratings

David de Gea – 5
He has been in good form this season but there is no defending that mistake. Lack of focus.

Diogo Dalot – 7
First start since his injury and he did fairly well.

Raphael Varane – 6
A good performance overall but should have done better for Everton’s disallowed goal.

Luke Shaw – 7
Good at left-back, good at centre-back – he is having quite the season.

Tyrell Malacia – 6
Above all else, Ten Hag will be happy to know that he has able cover at left-back.

Casemiro – 7
The rock in the United midfield but his partnership with Christian Eriksen was not as solid as it usually is.

Christian Eriksen – 6
As mentioned above, could have done better at times.

Antony – 7
That goal will do him the world of good. Broke the shackles in the second half. Promising.

Bruno Fernandes – 6
As ever, involved in the crucial moments but remains frustrating at times.

Marcus Rashford – 9
So incredibly sharp in everything he does on the pitch. His goal was his 13th of the season and he has now scored in seven straight Old Trafford games. Unreal end product.

Anthony Martial – 6
Slowly working back up to match sharpness. Once he gets there, he will be valuable.
