Manchester United have been linked with an array of strikers ahead of the January transfer market.
As someone who looks at every report concerning the club, you can tell that a lot of the links are rubbish.
However, since we are in the market for a new striker on loan, the list of potential targets has grown thanks to the media.
Stade Rennais forward Martin Terrier is one of those players as French outlet MediaFoot had reported last week that United had contacted Terrier’s agent over a potential move.
However, according to Sofoot.com, Terrier has suffered a bad knee injury and it looks like he won’t be going anywhere in January.
Reports in France suggest he could be in the treatment room for up to 8 months.

Terrier had opened the scoring against Nice before former Everton midfielder Ross Barkley equalised.
However, in the 36th minute, Terrier was forced off after being left in serious pain.
Stade Rennais manager Bruno Genesio says they are still waiting on a diagnosis.
“The players went to comfort Martin Terrier who was in the physio room during the match,” Genesio said, as per the Manchester Evening News. “The knee has swelled up, but we don’t have a diagnosis yet.”
It remains to be seen who ends up at Old Trafford eventually, but Terrier’s chance to move to Old Trafford may have already gone.
