Erik ten Hag rejects question about Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Al Nassr

Erik ten Hag refused to share his opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The Manchester United manager was asked about Ronaldo’s transfer after his team’s 1-0 win over Wolves and I think he can be excused for not caring about someone who no longer plays for the club.

Like any manager after a win, Ten Hag wanted to focus on the game and how his team came away from Molineux with three points.

“I don’t talk about the past, let’s talk about the future,” Ten Hag told reporters after the match, as per the Daily Mirror. “We made a good step today.

“First time we are in the top four, but it means nothing because it is a long way to go. We have to live from game to game, get in the position to win something.”

United haven’t missed Ronaldo since his contract was terminated over a month ago. We’ve gone on to claim three wins from as many games and I’m confident that our winning run will stretch a bit further.

I also admire how Ten Hag is demanding more from his players because there is still a lot of work to do if United are to qualify for the Champions League. That is our ultimate aim under Ten Hag this season but he is right to push for a trophy, too.

Next up in the league for United is a home game against Bournemouth on January 3.
