PSG eye shock move for Manchester United midfielder

Manchester United midfielder Fred is being linked with a shock move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian has had his game time cut this season under Erik ten Hag after seeing an increased competition for places in Manchester United’s midfield.

For starters, Casemiro is pulling up trees from his deep-lying role, breaking up play and getting the ball forward. Christian Eriksen has been another brilliant addition and together they compliment Bruno Fernandes well.

It seems like a difficult task for Fred to get back into the team, but I am sure he will still have a role to play this season as a squad player.

United triggered the one-year extension clause in the Brazilian’s contract this week to ensure they didn’t lose him on a Bosman at the end of the season, but that has not put off PSG, as per The Sun.

PSG look at Fred as a player who could bring more energy to their midfield – but the report stresses that United wouldn’t accept anything less than £30 million.

This could be United’s only chance to make a bit of money back on the deal and there is no denying that extra funds in the transfer kitty would help Ten Hag.
