Erik ten Hag still keen on bringing Jude Bellingham to Old Trafford

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is an admirer of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham and will aim to sign him next summer.

He will face tough competition, though, as the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City are all active in the race for the teenager, who is already regarded as one of the best and most complete midfielders in world football.

Still, the Dutchman will test his luck against the rivalling clubs and try and lure Bellingham to United with a lucrative financial offer, as well as being part of an exciting project.

According to Samuel Luckhurst of Manchester Evening News, the United manager has been watching Dortmund matches to monitor the 19-year-old’s development this season. He is such a fan of Bellingham, that he has “told confidants that if he could sign any player in the world it would be him”.

Sources at the club also believe the England international could be a part of United’s history if he were to be a part of the squad that ends their Premier League title drought.

StrettyNews’ verdict

United must do everything in their power to try and bring Bellingham to Old Trafford. He is one signing that, despite coming at a hefty fee, will likely live up to his price tag with his performances. One look at his World Cup campaign shows he is world-class on the world stage, and he is a player that can dominate a midfield for years to come.
