Fernandes and Dalot included in top 10 players of World Cup so far

Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have made Sofascore’s top 10 players of the World Cup so far.

Fernandes tops the list, which includes the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Cody Gakpo. The 28-year-old has racked up outstanding goal contributions over in Qatar; in three matches, he has scored two goals and assisted three. Fernandes has been instrumental to Portugal’s progression to the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Dalot has had to wait to have his chance in the lineup but has proved why he should be a starter when given the opportunity by Fernando Santos. He started the team’s last two matches, picking up an assist in his first appearance and displaying an outstanding performance in his second, in which Portugal won 6-1.

Will Dalot start against Morocco?

He has given Santos a headache as to who starts at right-back in the quarter-final when they face Morocco, as Joao Cancelo has not continued his fine Premier League form into the tournament. Dalot has been consistent at both club and international level and deserves to feature in the must-win clash.
