Manchester United have discovered their fate in this year’s FA Cup, with Erik ten Hag’s men looking to win the storied cup for the 13th time – matching Arsenal’s record.
The Reds have not won the competition since 2016 when Jesse Lingard’s added-time winner ensured United lifted the trophy for the twelfth time.
The draw for this year’s third round was held earlier on Monday and unsurprisingly, United have been handed another all-Premier League tie to kick things off.
Everton will make the trip to Old Trafford in January and fans have reacted on social media, expressing their dismay at once again avoiding teams in the lower divisions.
Imagine my surprise at drawing a Prem team. https://t.co/MtVjnW7yRB

Another boring home draw that'll no doubt get moved to Friday or Monday night for TV. Sigh.

It’s not that I don’t think we can beat Everton, it’s just frustrating in a congested calendar that we can’t have a chill game to play some kids
