Manchester United loanee Hannibal Mejbri makes Tunisia squad for World Cup

Tunisia are set to embark on their sixth World Cup finals this winter and we are delighted to see Manchester United loanee Hannibal Mejbri called up to the squad.

The Eagles of Carthage don’t have the best record at World Cups after playing 15 games at this level, winning just two matches. The odds are still stacked against them in Qatar but Jalel Kadri will be hoping to inspire some memorable results.

Tunisia will face Denmark, Australia and France in the group stages.

Hannibal Mejbri, who is currently on loan at Birmingham City, will be aiming to stand out at the World Cup because Erik ten Hag will be watching closely.

The young midfielder has been phenomenal in the Championship this season and deserves his place in the Tunisia squad.

Still only 19, Mejbri will hope he can have the same impact he had on Tunisia in 2021 when they reached the Arab Cup.

Hopefully he can get some starts under his belt!
