Louis Saha hails Manchester United’s recruitment last summer

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has hailed the impact summer signings Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro have had at Old Trafford this season.

The trio, two of which were costly transfers, have all settled into life under Erik ten Hag brilliantly.

Saha told Paddy Power, as cited by the Manchester Evening News: “Manchester United’s ability to keep the ball is so much better than it used to be and that helps the defenders as it allows them to focus on defending. Even someone like Lisandro Martinez, who everyone said is too short for the Premier League, has shown that isn’t the case.

“We’re seeing that they have a lot more balance now which allows the guys up front to show their firepower. They have that foundation now. With Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, they have created a balance in the team.”

Fans are raving about their performances most weeks and I think Ten Hag is gaining trust for future transfer markets since the player he identified in the summer all hit the ground running.

We shouldn’t forget about Antony and Tyrell Malacia who have both been excellent at times this season.
