Garnacho starts: confirmed Man United line-up vs Aston Villa

Manchester United are looking for back-to-back wins in the Premier League and could extend their unbeaten run in all competitions further as they make the trip to face Aston Villa.

The hosts have endured a difficult start to the season and recently sacked Steven Gerrard, who has been replaced by former Arsenal and Villarreal manager Unai Emery. Emery was unbeaten in each of his three Premier League games against United when he was in charge of Arsenal.

Ahead of the game, Erik ten Hag had a number of injury concerns, with Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Antony all doubts for the game.

Now, Ten Hag has named his starting eleven for the game and there are some big absentees for the Reds. Bruno Fernandes, who is serving a one-match suspension, has been replaced by Donny van de Beek.

Victor Lindelof keeps his place from the side that won against Real Sociedad, with Harry Maguire named on the bench, whilst Alejandro Garnacho makes his first Premier League start of the season.

Martial returns to the bench and that will be a big boost for Ten Hag but Antony and Sancho remain out of the squad as the World Cup break edges closer.

Confirmed Manchester United XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Van de Beek, Garnacho, Rashford, Ronaldo.
