Antony’s goal against Manchester City has been deservedly voted as Manchester United’s Goal of the Month for October.
The Brazilian controlled a wonderful pass from Christian Eriksen before cutting inside and curling an effort beyond Ederson. He did the same on his debut at Old Trafford against Arsenal before the derby.
Despite suffering a 6-3 defeat on the day, a late brace from Anthony Martial restored some pride for Erik ten Hag’s side, but Antony’s strike was a real highlight as far as United can be considered.
It took up 35 per cent of the vote on ManUtd.com and saw off competition from both Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Congratulations to Antony for winning the award. The sooner he returns the squad for selection the better because he was having an impact on matches in attack as well as winning back possession.
