A Manchester United fan that had travelled to Spain to watch Thursday evening’s Real Sociedad clash was not allowed to take an anti-Glazer flag into the stadium.
In a video posted to Twitter, security at the stadium were holding an anti-Glazer flag and not allowing the fan to carry it in, despite every other supporter’s banner being permitted in to the Reale Arena.
In the video, the fan asked the staff: “So I’m not allowed that flag in, but everyone else is allowed their flag in, why can’t I have mine?”

A different security member replied: “Because it says ‘anti-Glazers’ mate, they don’t want it in. They don’t want it in there.”
When the fan further questioned: “So I can’t take my flag in because it’s got ‘anti-Glazers’ on it?”
The security confirmed: “Yeah.”
The United fan then posted a further update detailing a conversation with the officials after he had finished filming, which can be found below.
I told the officials in the meeting the 1958 had with Arnold we had the right to peacefully protest! Now that right has been taken away! They just said it’s out of there hands and they have to enforce what the club says!! #GlazersOut #MUFC
