Watch: Man United training ahead of Europa League game vs FC Sheriff

Manchester United are training to prepare for their crucial Europa League game against FC Sheriff on Thursday, with Erik ten Hag’s men confirming qualification if they avoid defeat.

Sheriff are enduring quite the turbulent couple of days prior to the game, with their head coach resigning just 48 hours before the two teams face off at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has a number of selection issues he will need to address before the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible inclusion being the main talking point.

The 37-year-old did not train with the first team for three days at the end of last week but the Portuguese legend was back in training this week, as seen below.

Real Sociedad, the group leaders, are expected to beat Cypriot minnows Omonia in the other game in this group and should United also win, that would set up a mouthwatering final round.

Head-to-head is prioritised over goal difference in UEFA competitions, which means that should that scenario happen, United will need to win at Real Sociedad to secure top spot.
